Can my employer or the State take the money from my Minnesota Secure Choice account?

No. The money is yours, and only you can access your savings. Your contributions go directly to the Minnesota Secure Choice account in your name. The State has no access to these contributions, can't use the money for anything else, and there is no connection to other retirement plans offered by the State.
